About this course
A practical introduction to dbt on Snowflake, recorded live.
It starts with the big picture: how data flows through a modern stack — ingestion with tools like Fivetran and ADF, storage in Snowflake, transformation in dbt and orchestration with Airflow — so you know exactly where dbt fits before you write any of it. You then create a dbt account, connect it to Snowflake and build your first models.
The second half is about trust. You add generic and singular tests so bad data is caught automatically, then use snapshots to keep history with SCD Type 2, using both the timestamp and check strategies. The course closes with an interview sprint covering SQL, Snowflake and dbt questions together.
